Marcheno was founded in 1960 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The team quickly rose through the ranks of the Italian football league system, reaching the Promozione in 1975.
Marcheno spent the next few decades yo-yoing between the Promozione and the Prima Categoria. In 2015, the team was relegated to the Seconda Categoria.
Marcheno bounced back to the Prima Categoria in 2017 and has remained there ever since.
