Matt's Fiddlers Football Team

Matt's Fiddlers is a football team based in Braintree, England. The team was founded in 2005 by Matt Smith, and currently competes in the Blackwater and Dengie Youth Football League.

The team's home ground is at the Braintree Leisure Centre, and they play in red and white striped shirts. Matt's Fiddlers have won the Blackwater and Dengie Youth Football League title on three occasions, in 2009, 2012, and 2018.

History

Matt’s Fiddlers results

Matt's Fiddlers was founded in 2005 by Matt Smith, who was looking to create a football team for his son and his friends. The team started out in the Braintree & North Essex Sunday League, and quickly rose through the ranks.

In 2009, Matt's Fiddlers won their first Blackwater and Dengie Youth Football League title. They followed this up with further titles in 2012 and 2018.

The team has also enjoyed success in cup competitions, winning the Essex County Youth Cup in 2010 and 2018.

Current Season

Matt's Fiddlers are currently competing in the Blackwater and Dengie Youth Football League Premier Division. They are currently in third place in the table, and are looking to challenge for the title.
