More about the team

Medway Rovers FC was established in 2008 by Roy Bowles. The aim is to provide football training and match experience to younger players whilst also offering more experienced players the chance to play 11 a-side football.

With no previous experience in running a football club we were totally green. Shirley Bowles (Roys wife) was given the club secretary role and was given the job of dealing with all the paperwork. John Riches was handed the treasurers role to take care of all money issues.

Roy has always been a very competitive person and wants to succeed in making Medway Rovers FC a recognised club within the R&D leagues and to be proud of what his team and himself have achieved.

The boards ambition is to create a football club that is a joy to work with and play for, plus, create as many opportunities as possible for people to be able to play this great game of ours.

The club sponsors are Luxury Lighting & Electrical Supplies that is a jointly owned company of the board members. They have given the club the finance to give it a massive boost and set up some great facilities for training and would like everyone to give them as much support as possible in return. Their website address is please feel free to take a look.

All of us feel that Medway Rovers FC will be a very successful club.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
