History
Mpsi 1 was founded in 1962 by a group of students from the Mohammed V Polytechnic University. The club quickly rose through the ranks of Moroccan football, and in 1978, they were promoted to the Botola, the top tier of Moroccan football.
Mpsi 1 spent the next few years competing in the Botola, but they were never able to challenge for the title. In 1988, the club was relegated to the Botola 2.
Mpsi 1 has spent the majority of the time since then in the Botola 2. However, in recent years, the club has been on the rise. In 2018, they finished in second place in the Botola 2, and they narrowly missed out on promotion to the Botola.
Recent Season
Mpsi 1 had a successful season in 2022-23. The club finished in third place in the Botola 2, and they qualified for the promotion playoffs.
In the promotion playoffs, Mpsi 1 defeated JS Massira and Hassania Agadir to earn promotion to the Botola for the first time in 34 years.
