History
The club was founded in 1920 and played in the Wearside League until 1974. In 1974, the club joined the Northern League Division Two. The club won the Northern League Division Two in 1977 and were promoted to Division One. The club remained in Division One until 1993, when they were relegated to Division Two. The club won the Northern League Division Two again in 2000 and were promoted to Division One. The club have remained in Division One ever since.
