History
PVP Gortmund FC was founded in 1995 by a group of friends who were passionate about football. The team started out in the lower divisions of Malaysian football, but quickly rose through the ranks. In 2010, the team won promotion to the Malaysia Premier League for the first time.
The team has been a consistent performer in the Malaysia Premier League since then, finishing in the top half of the table most seasons. In 2019, the team reached the Malaysia Cup final, but lost to Johor Darul Ta'zim.
