The Renilson football team was founded in 1999 by a group of businessmen and football enthusiasts. The team quickly rose through the ranks of the Brazilian football pyramid, and in 2010, they won promotion to the Campeonato Cearense for the first time.
The Renilson football team has since established itself as a regular contender for the Campeonato Cearense title. They have won the championship three times, in 2015, 2017, and 2022.
