History
The SGA D3 football (soccer) team was founded in 2001 by a group of students from the Darmstadt University of Technology. The team started out in the Kreisliga A, the lowest tier of German football. In 2004, the team won promotion to the Bezirksliga, and in 2007, the team won promotion to the Landesliga. In 2012, the team won promotion to the Hessenliga, where they have competed ever since.
