The team was founded in 1998 by students at the University of Sheffield. They have won the EV2 Sportswear Sheffield and Hallamshire County Senior League championship twice, in 2012-13 and 2016-17.

The EV2 Sportswear Sheffield and Hallamshire County Senior League is a football league in Sheffield, England. It was founded in 1973 and is currently in its 49th season. The league consists of 20 teams, divided into two divisions.
The league champions are promoted to the Northern Counties East League Division One, while the bottom two teams in each division are relegated to the Sheffield and Hallamshire County Amateur Football League.
The current league champions are Sheffield United Community Foundation, who won the title in 2022-23.
