Spiers Football Team was founded in 1995 by John Spiers. The team started out in the local junior leagues and gradually worked their way up to the Football League Youth Alliance - Devon Clubs league.
The team has had some success in recent years, winning the Devon Clubs league title in 2018 and 2020. They have also reached the final of the Football League Youth Alliance National Cup on two occasions, in 2019 and 2021.

The league consists of two divisions, Division One and Division Two. The top four teams in Division One at the end of the season qualify for the Football League Youth Alliance National Cup.
