More about the team

The Club formed in 1910 and for one year played in the Liverpool and District church of England League . The lynchpin of the club was former Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion player the Reverend W C Jordan . Thought inly finishing mid table the Rev ( we refer to him with this affectionate title ) proved to be a valuable coach , and the following year joined the prestidious I Zingari league and won 2 conceutive promotion to the top flight . It's an interesting fact that mid season in the 1913/14 campaign , The Saints were performing well until the Rev suffered a broken leg , and the teams form dropped dramatically . Leaving them to finish in the lower half of the I Zingari Division 1 .
The great war was not kind to the team with only a handful of player's returning to the squad at it's conclusion.
Over the following years we played in an assortment of leagues and by the late 20s we had established teams in the I Zingari and the Zingari Combination.
