The Sunday Football squad is a football team based in Meru, Kenya. They were founded in 2010 and play in the Meru Provincial League. The team is known for its attacking style of play and has produced a number of talented players, including Anthony Sire Muciri, who is the first Meru player to play in Ghana.
The team's home ground is the Meru Stadium. They train every Sunday morning at the stadium.
History
The Sunday Football squad was founded in 2010 by a group of friends who were passionate about football. The team started out playing in local tournaments and gradually worked their way up to the Meru Provincial League.
In 2018, the team won the Meru Provincial League and were promoted to the Kenya National Super League. However, they were relegated back to the Meru Provincial League the following season.
The team is currently managed by David Mwiti. The captain of the team is Anthony Sire Muciri.
