About Sunderland Samba FC
Sunderland Samba FC is a community football club providing football coaching, volunteering, youth work and international exchange opportunities. They are a youth led organisation enabling children and young people to make a positive contribution in their local community.
The club was founded in 2008 and has two teams: a men's team that competes in the Wearside League and a women's team that competes in the Kenya Football Federation National League Division One.
Sunderland Samba FC also runs a number of other projects, including:
- A football academy for children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds
- A volunteering program that matches volunteers with local organizations
- An international exchange program that brings together young people from different countries
