History
Sussex University FC was founded in 1991 by a group of students at the University of Sussex. The team initially competed in the Sussex County League Division Two, but was promoted to Division One in 1993. The team has remained in Division One ever since.
The team's most successful season was in 2002-03, when they reached the final of the Sussex Senior Cup. However, they lost the final to Eastbourne Borough.
Stadium
Sussex University FC plays its home games at the Falmer Sports Complex in Brighton. The complex has two pitches, one of which is artificial turf and the other is grass.
