Taverham Hotspurs was founded in 1974 by a group of local parents. The club started with just one team, but has since grown to over 20 teams. The club has won numerous trophies at local and county level.
In 2018, Taverham Hotspurs was awarded the FA Charter Standard by the Football Association. This is the highest award that can be given to a grassroots football club in England.
Facilities
Taverham Hotspurs plays its home games at Hinks Meadow, Taverham. The ground has two full-size pitches and one training pitch.
The club also has a clubhouse with changing rooms, a kitchen, and a bar.

The 2023-2024 season is the club's 49th season. The club currently has teams in the following leagues:
