The Test 2ND X11 team has a long and successful history. The team has won the West Riding County Amateur Football League title on four occasions, in 1974, 1980, 1988, and 2001. The team has also reached the final of the West Riding County Cup on three occasions, in 1975, 1981, and 2002.

The team's most famous player is probably Peter Beardsley, who played for the team in the early 1980s. Beardsley went on to have a successful career in professional football, playing for clubs such as Newcastle United, Liverpool, and Everton.
