The team was founded in 2023 and is named after the test team that was used to develop the Werder Bremen football app.

Testteam was founded in 2023 and quickly rose through the ranks of the Bremen football league system. They won promotion to the Kreisliga Bremen-Nord in their first season.
The team has yet to win any silverware, but they are considered to be one of the most promising young teams in Bremen.
