The Academy FC
The Academy FC is the youth development system of Liverpool Football Club. It is responsible for the training and development of players from the U6 age group up to the U21 squad.
History
The Academy FC was founded in 1989. It was originally called the Liverpool School of Excellence, but it was renamed to the Academy FC in 2007.
The Academy FC has been very successful in recent years. It has won the FA Youth Cup four times, in 1996, 2006, 2007, and 2019. It has also won the Premier League Under-23s title twice, in 2018 and 2020.
