The Nottingham Legends FC were founded in 2019 by a group of friends who wanted to continue playing football after they had finished playing at a higher level. The team quickly rose through the ranks of the Nottinghamshire Sunday Football League and won the Premier Division title in their first season.
The team has continued to be successful in recent years, winning the Premier Division title again in 2021 and 2022. They have also reached the final of the Nottinghamshire Sunday Football League Cup on two occasions.
