The Phoenix Club Jesmond was founded in 2017 by a group of friends who wanted to create a football team that was inclusive and welcoming to all. The team started out in the Tyneside Amateur Football League, but they moved to the Northumberland Football League in 2020.
The Phoenix Club Jesmond have had a successful few years, winning the Northumberland Football League Division Two title in 2021. They are currently competing in Division One.
