Throckley Magpies Football Club

Throckley Magpies Football Club is a charter standard football club situated on the outskirts of Newcastle. It was formed in 1988 and currently has teams in the Tynedale Mini Soccer League, the Northumberland FA Youth League and the Northumberland FA Adult Leagues.

History

Throckley Magpies was formed in 1988 by a group of local parents who wanted to provide their children with the opportunity to play football. The club started out with just one team, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has teams for players of all ages.

In 2000, Throckley Magpies joined the Tynedale Mini Soccer League. The club has been very successful in this league, winning numerous trophies. In 2012, Throckley Magpies also joined the Northumberland FA Youth League. The club has had some success in this league, but it is still developing its youth teams.

In 2017, Throckley Magpies joined the Northumberland FA Adult Leagues. The club currently has two teams in this league, one in Division 2 and one in Division 3. The club is hoping to progress to higher divisions in the future.
