Who are we? We are the women's football team of the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David. Coached by myself, Rhodri Davies with the assistance of Gbemi Olokun, we strive to represent the university to the best of our abilities, on and off the pitch. Since the start of the first year, I have committed myself to running this team, giving the opportunity to the women of Trinity, who have a desire and passion to play football, to represent their uni on the playing field. We have a very promising team, including some outstanding individual players, yet all have the same desire. The desire to win next years league and show every other team what playing football is really about. Captained by Rhiannon Pocock, with Jessica Hammett as the vice captain, each of the girls pulled together to win their first ever match last year in the annual Varisty event, beating Swansea Met 4-1, a tremendous victory, followed by the very best of celebrations.
As well as the roles on the pitch, we also have roles off the pitch which are just as important to the team. These roles are the D.O.F's of the team meaning the 'Directors of Fun'. Both of our D.O.F's, Daniel Edwards and Elisha Jones, play a very big part in the organisation of social nights for the team. They come up with fresh ideas on how to make a social, more than just an ordinary night out, but an easier opportuity for the players to further bond with each other. Dan with his childish nature, and Elisha with her love of vodka, between the 4 of us running the team, we aim to make the experience that the girls receive, some of the most memorable experiences ever.
