Introduction

Tytherington Juniors FC is a local community based grassroots football club, based in Macclesfield, within Cheshire FA. Tytherington Juniors is run by volunteers and was established in 1987.

The club has teams ranging from Open Age & Under 18's down to our brand new U6 Development team – all run by fully DBS checked, FA qualified Managers and Coaches, that are all volunteers.

The club are proud to have nearly 30 teams and over 330+ players now within our club. We have an exciting U5 & U6 Academy.

The club is also a member of the Mid-Cheshire Youth Football league, Stockport Girls League, Manchester Youth Super League, East Manchester Junior Football League, Stockport Metro JFL, the JPL and the Timperley and district League.

History

Tytherington Juniors FC was founded in 1987 by a group of local volunteers who wanted to provide a safe and fun environment for children to play football.

The club has grown steadily over the years and now has over 30 teams and over 330 players.

The club is committed to providing high quality coaching and facilities for all of its players, regardless of ability.

The club has a strong reputation for developing young players and many of its former players have gone on to play professional football.

Achievements

• The club has won numerous trophies at both local and national level.
• The club has also produced a number of professional footballers, including Danny Drinkwater and Michael O'Connor.
• The club was awarded the FA Charter Standard in 2010, which is the highest level of accreditation for grassroots football clubs in England.
• The club was also awarded the FA Respect Award in 2018, which is given to clubs that demonstrate good conduct and sportsmanship.
