Unknown Club Football was founded in 2010 by a group of students from Manipal Institute of Technology. The team quickly rose to prominence, winning the Manipal University Inter-Collegiate Football League in its first year of competition.
The team has continued to be successful in recent years, winning the league title again in 2012, 2014, and 2016. Unknown Club Football is also the current holder of the Manipal University Vice-Chancellor's Cup.
