The Sunderland and District Sunderland Mill View Social Club Over 40s League is a regional amateur football league for men over the age of 40. It was founded in 1999 and currently has 16 teams competing in it. The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and the Division One. The winners of the Premier Division are promoted to the Wearside League, while the bottom two teams in the Premier Division are relegated to the Division One. The winners of the Division One are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams in the Division One are relegated to a lower league.
The league is played on a Saturday afternoon and consists of a double round-robin format, with each team playing each other team twice. The season runs from September to April.
