Sunderland and District Sunderland Mill View Social Club Over 40s League

History

The league was founded in 1999 by a group of over-40s footballers in the Sunderland area. The inaugural season had just four teams, but the league has since grown to its current size of 24 teams.

Divisions

• Premier Division
• Division One
• Division Two

The Premier Division is the top division in the league. The teams in this division play each other home and away, with the top two teams at the end of the season being promoted to the Northern League.

Division One is the second tier of the league. The teams in this division also play each other home and away, with the top two teams being promoted to the Premier Division.

Division Two is the third and lowest tier of the league. The teams in this division play each other home and away, with the bottom two teams being relegated to the Sunderland and District Veterans League.

Current Season

The current season is the 24th season of the Sunderland and District Sunderland Mill View Social Club Over 40s League. The Premier Division is currently being led by Wallsend BC Veterans, while Division One is being led by Boldon Colliery Over 40s Veterans.
