WM Saab FC

WM Saab FC are a Sunday League football team made up of 23 team members.

The team is from Shirley, West Midlands, England, United Kingdom and play in the Central Warwickshire Over 35's Division One.

WM Saab FC started using TeamStats in August 2012 and so far have created match reports and statistics for 9 games.

Formerly known as Saddlers Arms FC.

Have played for many years as an over 35's team and before that in open age football.

We were close to going out of business last year with our pitch price doubling but luckily West Midlands Saab stepped in with a generous sponsorship package.

We have recently moved pitch to our new facility at Light Hall School, Shirley.

We train every Wednesday evening at Light Hall school from 7 til 8pm. Astroturf.

If you are looking for a club then that's the best time to come along to try to impress.

The league itself is very competitive, with some very talented players who just can't run as fast as they could!

There are 5 divisions in total, and we are currently in the 3rd tier - Division One, having requested a drop of division this year as the lads all get older!

We had got promoted by winning this division 3 seasons ago.

Last year we finished 5th after an up and down season. Managing excellent runs in both cup competitions. Knocking out premier division clubs along the way to a quarter final defeat in the Open cup and a semi-final defeat in the divisonal one.

This year we have 12 teams in our division and hope to be nearer the top than the bottom!
