History
Woodland FC was founded in 1970 by a group of friends who wanted to play football together. The team started out in the lowest division of the North East Football League and has since worked its way up to the Fourth Division.
The team has won the Fourth Division title once, in the 2018-19 season. They have also reached the semi-finals of the North East Football League Cup on two occasions.
