Coven FC is a football (soccer) team based in Avenida Guadalupe, Mexico City. The team was founded in 1920 and currently plays in the Segunda División Premier, the third tier of Mexican football.
History
Coven FC was founded in 1920 by a group of friends who wanted to create a football team in their neighborhood. The team quickly became one of the most successful in the area, winning several local tournaments. In 1940, Coven FC joined the Mexican Second Division. The team spent the next several decades bouncing between the Second Division and the Third Division. In 2010, Coven FC won promotion to the Liga Premier de Ascenso, the second tier of Mexican football. However, the team was relegated back to the Third Division after just one season.
