About GLENN
GLENN is a semi-professional soccer team based in Columbus, Ohio. The team was founded in 2010 and currently competes in the USL League Two. GLENN is the official youth team of the Columbus Crew SC, and many of the team's players have gone on to play professionally.
The team's name is an acronym for "Growing Leaders, Empowering Newcomers, and Networking." GLENN is committed to providing opportunities for youth and adults to develop their soccer skills and leadership abilities. The team also works to promote diversity and inclusion in the soccer community.
History
GLENN was founded in 2010 by a group of soccer enthusiasts who wanted to create a team that would provide opportunities for youth and adults to develop their skills and leadership abilities. The team's first season was in 2011, and they competed in the Premier Development League (PDL). GLENN won the PDL Midwest Conference in 2012 and 2013.
In 2014, GLENN moved to the USL Premier Development League (USL PDL). The team won the USL PDL Midwest Conference in 2015 and 2016. In 2017, GLENN moved to the USL League Two.
Current Season
GLENN is currently in its third season in the USL League Two. The team is currently in first place in the Great Lakes Conference. GLENN has won six of its seven games so far this season.
