The Los Angeles Galaxy is an American professional soccer team based in Carson, California. The Galaxy competes in Major League Soccer (MLS), as a member of the Western Conference. The club was founded in 1994 and is owned by Anschutz Entertainment Group.

History

The Galaxy were one of the 10 founding clubs of MLS in 1996. They won their first MLS Cup in 1998, defeating the Chicago Fire. The Galaxy have won the MLS Cup five times, more than any other team in MLS history.
