Roskill Rovers Football Club

Roskill Rovers Football Club is a football club based in Mount Roskill, Auckland, New Zealand. The club was founded in 1954 and currently competes in the Northern League, one of three qualifying leagues for the New Zealand National League.

The club has won the Chatham Cup, New Zealand's premier knockout football competition, once, in 1970. They have also won the Auckland Federation League on four occasions.

History

Roskill Rovers was founded in 1954 by a group of local residents. The club's first home ground was at Seymour Park in Mount Roskill.

The club won its first major trophy in 1965, when they won the Auckland Federation League. They went on to win the league again in 1967, 1970, and 1971.

In 1970, Roskill Rovers won the Chatham Cup, New Zealand's premier knockout football competition. They defeated Mount Albert United 2-1 in the final.

The club has not won any major trophies since 1971. However, they have remained a competitive force in Auckland football and have consistently competed in the Northern League.
