Introduction
The Albania League is an amateur football league in Albania. It is the third tier of football in Albania, below the Albanian Superliga and the Albanian First Division.
History
The Albania League was founded in 1990, after the fall of communism in Albania. The league was originally called the Albanian Second Division, but it was renamed the Albania League in 2010.
Structure
The Albania League consists of 16 teams. The teams are divided into two groups, Group A and Group B. The top two teams from each group at the end of the season are promoted to the Albanian First Division. The bottom two teams from each group are relegated to the Albanian Regional Leagues.
Current season
The current season of the Albania League is the 2022-2023 season. The season started on September 10, 2022 and is scheduled to end on May 28, 2023.
The current champions of the Albania League are KF Laçi. KF Laçi won the title in the 2021-2022 season.
