The league was founded in 1970 and currently has over 100 teams competing in it. The teams are divided into different divisions based on their age and ability.
Season structure
The league season runs from September to May. Each team plays each other team in their division twice, once at home and once away.
The top teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom teams are relegated to the lower division.
Cup competitions
In addition to the league, the Bedfordshire Youth Saturday League also runs a number of cup competitions. These include the:
- Under-13 League Cup
- Under-14 League Cup
