Blackpool and District Youth Football League
The Blackpool and District Youth Football League (BDYFL) is an amateur football league for under-7s to under-18s in the Blackpool and Fylde area of Lancashire, England.
The league was founded in 1921 and is affiliated with the Lancashire FA. It currently has over 200 clubs and 4,000 players registered.
Competitions
The BDYFL runs a variety of competitions, including:
- Divisional competitions for each age group
- Cup competitions for each age group
- Festivals for younger age groups
FA Charter Standard
The BDYFL is an FA Charter Standard league, which means it meets the highest standards of governance, coaching, and player welfare.
To achieve FA Charter Standard status, a league must meet a number of criteria, including:
- Having a written constitution and policies
- Providing qualified coaches
- Ensuring the safety of players
