About Chase Holmes League

Introduction

The Chase Holmes League is an amateur football league based in South Tyneside, England. It was founded in 1972 and currently has teams playing in a variety of age groups, from Under-8s to Under-18s.

The league is named after Chase Holmes, a local park in South Shields. The league's headquarters are also located at Chase Holmes.

Divisions

The Chase Holmes League has a total of 10 divisions, divided into two sections: Junior and Youth.
  • Junior Divisions: Under-8s, Under-9s, Under-10s, Under-11s, Under-12s, Under-13s, Under-14s
  • Youth Divisions: Under-15s, Under-16s, Under-17s, Under-18s

Season

The Chase Holmes League season runs from September to April. Each team plays each other team in their division twice, once at home and once away.

The top team in each division at the end of the season is promoted to the next division, while the bottom team is relegated to the previous division.
