The Chelmsford & District Churches Football League was founded in 1977 by a group of church leaders who wanted to provide a competitive football league for Christians in the area. The league initially had 6 teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has 3 teams.
The league has been won by a variety of teams over the years, but the most successful team has been Central Baptist Church, who have won the title 7 times.
Current Season
The current season of the Chelmsford & District Churches Football League is the 2022-23 season. The league is currently being led by Central Baptist Church, who are followed by Braintree Churches United and Danbury Mission.
