Women’s football in Cheshire
The Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League is a competitive women’s football league serving Cheshire and nearby areas. Its current FA Full-Time programme includes open-age women’s divisions, with clubs from places such as Chester, Crewe, Macclesfield, Nantwich, Congleton, Runcorn, Northwich, Altrincham and Stockport.

It provides organised league and cup football for women’s teams, including first teams, development sides and clubs with youth connections. The exact annual membership changes, but the competition gives local women’s clubs a county-based structure for regular fixtures.
Current structure
The current competition includes a Premier Division, Division One and Championship sections. This structure enables clubs at different stages to play within the same league system. FA Full-Time should be used for the live divisional allocation, fixtures, results and tables.
Players interested in joining a side should approach a participating local club. Clubs considering a new team should follow current Cheshire FA and league guidance, as entry arrangements are reviewed each season.
