Introduction

The College League is an amateur football league that is open to players of all ages and skill levels. It is organized by the Glasgow Colleges Football Association (GCFA), which is part of the Scottish Amateur Football Association (SAFA). The league has been in existence since 1955, making it one of the oldest amateur league setups in Scotland.

The College League is divided into two divisions: the Premier Division and the First Division. The Premier Division is the top division and is made up of the best teams in the league. The First Division is the second division and is made up of the remaining teams.

College League action

The College League season runs from September to May. Each team plays each other team in their division twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams in the Premier Division at the end of the season are promoted to the Scottish Amateur Football League. The bottom two teams in the Premier Division are relegated to the First Division. The top two teams in the First Division are promoted to the Premier Division. The bottom two teams in the First Division are relegated to a lower league.
