Cumberland FA Walking Football League

The Cumberland FA Walking Football League is a league for people aged 50 and over who enjoy playing football but want to do so at a slower pace. The league was founded in 2014 and currently has 10 teams.

How to play

Walking football is played in the same way as traditional football, but with a few modifications. Players must keep both feet on the ground at all times, and there is no tackling. The game is also played on a smaller pitch, with smaller goals.

Where to play

  • The league plays its matches at various venues across Cumberland, including:
    • Carlisle United's Brunton Park
    • Workington's Borough Park
    • Penrith's Eden Valley College
  • The league also has a number of training sessions, which are held at various venues across the county.
