Sæson 2017 - 1 Teams across 1 Divisions
DAI football is organised by Dansk Arbejder Idrætsforbund, the Danish Workers’ Sports Federation. Its main football competition is held in the Capital Region, where DAI runs a substantial annual programme for community clubs and teams in and around Copenhagen.
The federation’s current information identifies Copenhagen as its largest football tournament, with nearly 400 teams taking part each year across 5-a-side, 7-a-side and 11-a-side football. This gives the competition a broad recreational structure rather than a single division or one-off event.
The outdoor 7-a-side programme runs from April to October, with cup football also available. Matches are mainly played on artificial pitches at Ryparken, Kløvermarken and Valby Park, while some teams use their own home grounds. Those venues place the programme within Copenhagen’s established public football-pitch network.
DAI also provides football and futsal activity in other parts of Denmark, but the Capital Region tournament is its principal football competition. The federation presents the programme as organised club football with an emphasis on participation and social sport alongside the competitive schedule.
New associations can join DAI and ask the federation about participation in its Copenhagen football tournament. The official competition pages provide the appropriate route for current registration, match information and contact details; these operational arrangements can change between seasons.
