2025-26 - 15 Teams across 2 Divisions
The Essex Youth Soccability League is a youth football competition within Essex’s pan-disability pathway. It is designed for young players of all abilities, including those with a disability, impairment or long-term health condition.
Essex FA introduced the league in 2025 with festival-style football at centralised venues. Its youth programme uses small-sided fixtures and four-year age bandings, with divisions for Under-12 and Under-16 teams.
The event format brings teams together for monthly football rather than a conventional home-and-away league schedule. This gives clubs a structured route for youth Soccability sides while allowing the format to accommodate different team sizes.
The league is part of a wider Essex disability-football pathway that also includes mainstream, inclusive and impairment-specific opportunities. Parents and carers can use Essex FA’s pathway guidance to consider the most suitable setting for a player.
See Essex FA’s disability football pathway guide and FA Full-Time for competition information.
