The Flare Recruitment Sunday Morning League was founded in 2007 by Will Morland, who was a striker for Ascio in Division MB1 at the time. The league was originally named the Ascio Sunday Morning League, but it was renamed the Flare Recruitment Sunday Morning League in 2010 after Flare Recruitment became the league's main sponsor.

The Flare Recruitment Sunday Morning League is a league of 10-a-side football. The season runs from September to April, with each team playing each other once in the regular season. The top two teams in each division at the end of the regular season qualify for the playoffs, with the winner of the playoffs being crowned champions.
