Hightown Junior Football League
The Hightown Junior Football League (HJFL) is an amateur football league for children aged 7-16 in the Hightown area of Merseyside, England.
History
The HJFL was founded in 1972 and currently has 16 teams competing in two divisions. The teams are drawn from a variety of schools and local clubs.

The league has a strong focus on developing young players and providing them with a fun and enjoyable experience. The HJFL also runs a number of development initiatives, such as coaching courses and tournaments.
Structure
The HJFL is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One. The Premier Division is the top division and is contested by the strongest teams in the league. Division One is the second tier and is contested by the remaining teams.

The season runs from September to April and each team plays each other team in their division twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams in each division are relegated to the previous division.
Cup Competitions
The HJFL also runs a number of cup competitions, including the HJFL Cup, the HJFL Challenge Cup, and the HJFL Floodlit Cup. These competitions are open to all teams in the league and provide an opportunity for teams to win silverware.
