IFA Youth League

The IFA Youth League is an amateur football league for boys and girls under the age of 18 in Northern Ireland. It is organized by the Irish Football Association (IFA).

History

The IFA Youth League was founded in 1969. It was originally called the Northern Ireland Youth League. The name was changed to the IFA Youth League in 1992.

Structure

The IFA Youth League is divided into four divisions:

  • Division 1
  • Division 2
  • Division 3
  • Division 4
Each division is further divided into regional leagues. There are a total of 12 regional leagues in the IFA Youth League.

Competition

The IFA Youth League is a competitive league. The top teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom teams are relegated to the lower division.

The IFA Youth League also has a cup competition, called the Harry Cavan Youth Cup. The Harry Cavan Youth Cup is a knockout competition for the top teams in the IFA Youth League.
