Matlock and District Over 60s Walking Football League

Chesterfield Senior Spireites' over-60s team currently plays in the Matlock over-60s league at Cavendish Fields on the last Wednesday of each month. That regular fixture pattern makes the competition a focused local programme rather than a traditional weekly league.

Local teams

Current participants include Matlock Sports, Matlock Arc, Alfreton, Ashbourne Leisure, Mansfield, Buxton, DCCT and Chesterfield Senior Spireites. These names are examples of teams involved in the local over-60s scene, not a permanent or complete membership list.

Matlock Arc is one of the area's established walking-football groups, based at Matlock Leisure Centre. The club also has teams in other age-group competitions, so its wider activity should not be confused with the specific Matlock over-60s league.
