Mid Beds Mini League
The Mid Beds Mini League is an amateur football league for children in the Bedfordshire area. It was founded in 1999 and currently has over 100 teams participating. The league is divided into age groups, with each age group having multiple divisions. The season runs from September to May.
League Structure
The Mid Beds Mini League is divided into the following age groups:
- Year 2 / U7
- Year 3 / U8
- Year 4 / U9
- Year 5 / U10
- Year 6 / U11
- Year 7 / U12
Each age group has multiple divisions, with the number of divisions depending on the number of teams participating. The teams in each division play each other home and away. The top teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom teams are relegated to the previous division.
League Rules
The Mid Beds Mini League follows the rules of the Football Association. The main rules are as follows:
- The game is played on a full-size football pitch.
- The teams consist of 7 players each, with no substitutes.
- The game is played for 20 minutes each half.
- There is no offside rule.
- The ball must be kept within the touchlines and goallines.
