The Mid Cheshire Sunday League was founded in 1972 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just 8 teams, but has since grown to over 100 teams.

The league has been played at various levels over the years, but is currently in the Cheshire County Sunday League. The league has produced a number of talented players, including former professional footballers such as Steve McNulty and Matt Gilks.

Structure

The Mid Cheshire Sunday League is divided into one division. The teams play each other twice, once at home and once away. The top team at the end of the season is promoted to the Cheshire County Sunday League Premier Division.
