Midland Schoolboys League

The Midland Schoolboys League (MSL) is an amateur football league in the Midlands of Ireland. It was founded in 1965 and currently has over 100 teams participating, from under-7s to under-16s boys and under-8s to under-18s girls.

The MSL is divided into three divisions: Premier, Division 1, and Division 2. The Premier Division is the top tier of the league and is contested by the best teams in the Midlands. Division 1 is the second tier, and Division 2 is the third tier.

Midland Schoolboys League action

The MSL season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other team in their division once. The top two teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the next division.

The MSL also hosts a number of cup competitions, including the MSL Cup, the MSL Shield, and the MSL Challenge Cup. The MSL Cup is the most prestigious cup competition in the league and is contested by all teams in the Premier Division.
