Introduction
The R&D Div 1 is an amateur football league in the Netherlands. It is the second-highest division in the Dutch amateur football system, below the EFL Championship. The league was founded in 1992 and currently consists of 18 teams.
The teams in the R&D Div 1 are divided into two groups of 9, with each team playing each other team in their group once. The top two teams in each group qualify for the promotion playoffs, while the bottom two teams in each group are relegated to the EFL League One.
The current champions of the R&D Div 1 are Ajax, who won the title in the 2022-2023 season.
